PeptideBlog.net is an educational reference site. We do not sell anything, we do not run accounts or comments, and we collect as little information as we can. This page explains what is collected and why.
What we collect automatically
We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console, connected through the Site Kit plugin, to understand how the site is used. This records things like the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (city or region level), your device and browser type, and how you reached the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and the pages requested. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
Information you send us
If you use the contact form, the details you type, such as your name, email address and message, are emailed to us. We use them only to reply to you. Nothing else you type on this site is collected or stored by us.
Cookies
The only cookies we know of on this site come from Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
External content
Some pages link to outside sources such as published studies, government databases and clinical trial registries. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we do not control them.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your information. Analytics data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. We do not share anything else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep data
Contact emails are kept as long as needed to answer them. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete any message you sent through the contact form. Use the contact form to make that request.
Not medical advice
This site is educational. Nothing on it is medical advice. See our Disclosures page for more.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
